Things to Do with Your iPhone When You’re Bored

I have tons of apps on my phone with nearly infinite possibilities—and nothing that I feel like playing with. Here’s a few fun things to do with your phone that are a little out of the ordinary. I’m an iPhone user so I don’t know which, if any, of these tricks work on an Android.

Siri Texting
You need to turn on the suggested words that appear above your keyboard for this mindless activity. Keep clicking the middle suggested word to generate a new text. It pretty ambiguous, always funny and occasionally inappropriate. Choose a recipient after the fact and send away.

Tracking Planes
Ask Siri “What flights are overhead” to pull up a list of the commercial flights that are in the air near you with a mapped view so you differentiate between planes.

Balancing Act
If you swipe left on the compass app, it opens a level. Its great for mindlessly running around your house and seeing how level things are, or aren’t. Or you can see how long you can keep your hand steady (get a second phone to time yourself).

Good Vibrations
Go to Settings > Sounds > Ringtone > Vibration > Create New Vibration and you can create vibration patterns instead of the default vibration alert. Use your imagination.
